Hello, My name is Mr. Washington. I am the STEM teacher for 7th and 8th grade with many talents here at Discovery Charter School. I am a musician, music producer, composer, audio engineer and IT professional. I specialize in computer science/technology but I also like to teach cyber security. I currently own a audio recording studio in Philadelphia and actively still producing music and mastering the craft of my passions. I've produced for Philadelphia's artist Oschino Vasquez, Young Chris, etc and also have music placements in Television. Teaching has grown into a new passion of mine and I look forward to every challenge during this journey at DCS.
Our Classes
During the 23-24 school year, my students have been focus on computer technology such as hardware, software, viruses, cybersecurity and the Google docs interface. I enjoy teaching cybersecurity to our children to bring self awareness. I believe it's important to understand how our everyday devices work for us and against us. I also teach natural science on the brain and human biology, ways of being able to improve your well-being and your world by just thought alone. Understanding the power of self and rewiring our brains to change our behavior.
